Writing Wk 3 Term 1 2021

Kia ora.

We are learning that Basic Punctuation means that you have a capital letter at the start of a sentence, and a full stop, question mark or exclamation mark at the end of every sentence when you do a piece of writing.  The first piece of writing I did was an acrostic poem.

Caterpillars grow into a big monarch butterfly.

A Caterpillar comes from a monarch butterfly.

Ttiny caterpillars are only about an inch long.

Eating a swamp on leaf is good for the little caterpillar.

Remembering not to eat poisonous leaves.

peeling out of the Christmas.

Inside the caterpillar is crunched up leaves.

Little caterpillars grow from eating a lot.

Llittle caterpillars eat a lot more than butterflies.

All monarch butterflies are black and orange.

Risk is to the caterpillars is birds.

  1. Great job, Kyle. You have lots of ideas and you have a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end of each of your sentences. You have made a few little mistakes in grammar but that wasn't our focus for this piece of writing, so well done!
